finished lower galley...new pics

...we finally finished the lower galley cabinets and battery box today...even though we had a monsoon blowing thru...also had a really nice visit with board member Charles Ippes, his wife and their "legal" advisor...enjoyed the visit charles...there is a step by step pictorial at my"WWW" button...click on galley 2...let me know what ya think

Looks great Jack!!! especially since I know all the scoop on what's behind the wainscotting!! and for any of you builders out there...give a tour to potential builders and others whenever you can...just make sure they have enough transmission to get them there and back...sorry Dan....just giving you a bad time...Doug :thumbsup:

the cutout is for the sink...a SS steam table tray...I guess I coulda put it in place for the pic :yes: ......... 8)
p.s the tray came from a restaraunt supply house, is 6x12(??)x6 deep...cost less than 10bucks

we also did a final fitting on the hatch so as soon as we get some more gorilla glue we can skin it and we will be ready to apply the Al skin...we aslo prebent a bunch of the trim...gettin' close, gotta be ready for Beaver's Bend

That center panel and its cam-lock is clever - it looks like an idea that you've refined in your head a good few times before actually making it!

we had not thought a lot about it till it came time to fasten the center panel someway and we realized that you would haveta get into that area regularly and screws weren't acceptable...suddenly lightning struck, the glue pot spilled and my build partner said "wadda 'bout some kinda cam lock"...2 or 3 attempts later and what you see was born...along with the tab at the bottom of the panel it works reall well...by the way the tab and lock catch behind the rails the sliders sit in

yes it is an Aztek and it is an excellent if somewhat strang looking car/truck/SUV and no we didn't get the tent attachment..already had a couple of tents, didn't want another, applied the thousand bucks to the down payment
