Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

So installed the HH per direction. Got the offset. Trimmed the bar and the vertical feet. Sits great, life is good. Did a dry fit of the door and with the seal in there it bent the hinge up!! Without the seal it fits flush.

I'm hoping a doable fix would be to remove the hinge on the body and set it up another 1/8-1/4" and then redo it. Please say that's acceptable. Gutted this didn't work.

The specs for the gasket provide a dimension for the crushed height.
They should also provide a tolerance value. You need to machine that
spacing before applying the gasket.

I had not on my doors and needed to shim out the hinges and striker
to compensate....
