Great Find at Lowe's (Whirlpool Gas 4 Eye Cooktop)

I was just at Lowe's looking for some items for my galley as I would like to have all the items present so when I start building, I can have the items there for fit and dimensioning.
I have been searching for cook units (gas) on the internet, ebay, Cabelas and Bass Pro Shop. But, I was unable to find anything that suited a TD.
I then walked into Lowe's and found this on a clearance table.
Image
It was regularly $399.00 marked to a clearance of $100.00 and then an additional 25% off.
There was a whirlpool model and another GE model.
I grabbed the Whirlpool, because it also have the LP conversion jets with it.
It is a little larger than I anticipated that I would use, but for this price, I will make it fit.
The igniter is 110V, but it states that during a power failure, you can lite it with a match, so I do not know if I'll wire it in. Probably will.

:D :D :D  :applause:

Great find! :applause: But how are you planning on baking the bisquits? I won't come for dinner without bisquits, no siree!

Bandit--what do you mean by the LP conversion jets?

Also, what are the dimensions on it?

These are setup for home use and Natural Gas. So to use LP or Propane you have to have a conversion kit. Which means smaller jets for the gas to pass through. Your propane regulator controls the volume or pressure, but the jets control how it burns.
The dimensions are 30' wide x 21" deep and 5/8" above the counter surface and 2-5/8" below the counter surface.
I am having to change my layout to accomodate it, but this won't be a big problem.

Bandit. Is there a gas regulator in that unit?

No, I will pick a regulator up at Lowe's, or may pull one off an old grill!

John,

Good idea !

I might try that with my Flamineta oven. It has a shutoff valve with a thermo-couple, but has to lit with a match. Thanks.

I'll have to take a look at this option.
The current ignitor provides a spark to all eye's. I don't know if the barbeque ignitor will be strong enough to provide a spark to all the eye's at once.
Obviously, the only one that lights is the one that has its gas on.
Thanks,

My grill has a battery operated igniter. It uses a 9v battery and when pushed it sends a spark to the main burner, side burner and the rotisserie at the same time. It also keeps sending a spark until the button is released. The old style had to be pressed over and over (one spark per press).
