Just wondering... I found a place to buy all kinds of clamps...at a good price. so silly as it may seem but what is the minimum amount of clamps
you folks have used for your project?... or Maximum and what sizes?

Classic Finn................that's like asking "how much horsepower do I need in a race car". When it comes to clamps, someone working with wood can never have enough. I've got a couple of thousand dollars invested in clamps and don't have 25% of what I need. I'm always needing a new or another clamp. Finally broke down a couple of months ago and made a couple of dozen clamps for a job I was doing...................and should have just made 5 or 6 dozen more while I was at it. How many clamps does it take to build a teardrop trailer? I've not built one yet, but I'd say it's going to take most everything I've got. Take a look at some of the build pictures some of these fellows have, and you'll see a lot of clamps in use from time to time.

Depending on what purpose

Dear Heiiki,

Take a look at some of the clamping solutions Steve Frederick uses. You may be able to save a lot of money depending on if his solutions work for your build.

Agree you can never have too many, I buy them as I need them.

It is a good idea to buy them in pairs or quads all the same, a single clamp is strangely less useful then a pair exactly the same.

Also you'll need a good variety, if you think you might need a clamp go ahead and buy it. Your practically garanteed to use it a few times in the future.

If you are looking at pipe clamps the Pony brand are quite a bit better than the chinese copies.
