Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

So, how are these babies doing 10yr later? I'm wondering about the holdupability of it all. Seems with a number of coats of polyurathane or something like, and storing it shaded and dry, it might do just fine, but I had a close call last week with buying a 30-yr-old camper and it got me thinking: I doubt the woodies would look as nice in half the time.
-Other thought is that the one what put the roof on the thing could sure put another on....
Anyone have an older build and care to comment?

Ohhhhh....Taylor...where to begin?....well, start with checking out original woody boats...there are still a lot of them that are in great shape without restoration on them and they sit in water a lot! just routine maintenance, and they were originally done in varnish...lots of them around that are originals with 40+ years on them...Epoxy has greatly increased the longevity of wood preservation...I've got 1 wood boat, scratch built, 5 years on it and it still looks great.,my 2nd one is only 2 years old, and is pristine... but I don't hammer my stuff....I'll go out on the line here and say that I'd be willing to bet that a wood trailer done correctly will last longer and possibly look better than an aluminum skinned one over time...it breathes better and won't trap moisture under the skin, which may create rot...however...it also comes down to how you take care of your equipment...either way, aluminum or wood, if you take care of it, it'll last a long time...oh well...just my soapbox...and I am partial to woodies...2 boats, 2 tears...Doug
PS my 49 Kit had a bunch of rot on it under the skin, and most manufactured units weren't intended to last 30+ years...

Since I did the varnish thing, a part of me is kind of looking forward to a few years down the road, when I'm going to want to revarnish.
