Newbie first question

Hi :)
its my first post so if I breach any codes of etiquette I apologise now. I have a ancient trailer tent with a good frame and after seeing the fantastic trailers on here I fancy having a go at building one, but it wont be for a few months yet so I am trying to get as much information as I can before hand.
I want to design my own trailer and my question is what size radius can you get down to with bendable ply. I realise it may depend upon the thickness of the ply but if I could get an idea it would give me a starting point to start drawing up ideas.

Cheers ;)

Stole this pic from Tom.

Bending ply should have no problems taking a tight radius. Most of us are using regular ply.

Hi all :D
Thanks for the quick replies and links.
I am hoping to get the coming season over before my trailer tent finally falls apart so that should give me plenty of time to get a design sorted out and all those links will give me plenty of information to be going on with.

Thanks again

Rocky, Tom's bendy birch ply came from Massachusetts--and I actually had similar stuff (mine was thicker) SHIPPED all the way down to Florida from that same lumber yard--Boulter Plywood.

Don't know what kind of luck he'll have finding that stuff in England.

I have a 2 foot radius on my TD and used 1/8 Baltic birch. I think I probably could have gone as tight as a 1 foot 6 inch radius with no problem probably even tighter if I soaked the lumber. The best thing about the 1/8 Baltic is it come in 5 foot by 5 foot sheets, less waste.
