Door mock up

Postby bennelson » Sun Apr 16, 2006 9:03 am

Hey everyone,

I am trying to get going on my doors and hatch now.

I figured I should work on a "scratch door" first, one that I could mess up on.

I built this by using my original plywood cut-out with some scrap wood tacked to the back.

Mostly, I wanted to see how the window would line up, but I also discovered that I will need to put the inside handle up higher than I thought, otherwise it would be right where my knee would whack on it!

Ben,
I can't help ya with your door but since I will be starting my doors soon I will be happy to steal your idea of using a mock-up. I think I have worried more about this then the hatch.

Nice idea,
Scott F.
Are we there yet?

Ben,

Common sense is a good trait, you know more than you think...

Waiting for "someday" will leave you on your deathbed wondering why you didn't just rearrange your priorities and enjoy the time you had, instead of waiting for a "better" time to come along...
