Has anyone had any experence with the zodi shower tent heater combo? I m thinking of using them on my future tt, of course I would have to add vents and leave the unit outside.

Run a search, I think these have been discussed many times over.

Gordon (?), a lot of people like them. But I wonder if it's complicated to run them both off the same propane supply. (Maybe Zodi can tell you something.)

I plan on using the Coleman Hot Water on Demand unit for water because I think it will look a lot cleaner in the galley. I think it's more versatile than the Zodi. (Oster is now ALSO making the same unit for Coleman, in a different color, marketed to bathe PETS, and it's like $50 cheaper.)

As far as heating--South Florida here. Not looking for heating options yet.

I'm doing like Ira and going with the Oster/Coleman. I've got two young kids and the Zodi just looks a little less stable for me. The Coleman/Oster has gotten good reviews on the sight and is a nice, clean and compact setup. It is for hot water only, and doesn't solve your heating problems, though.

I'm just guessing at this point, but the Zodi heater may be too much for a TD. People report using little ceramic heaters and turning them off after just a 5/10 minutes when the TD warms. Others, myself included, are on the 12V mattress warmer route which seems to do a good job as well. The zodi is a tent warmer and tents are often nothing more than thin nylon and mesh ceilings so the heat disipates quickly. Not so in a sealed TD. Just my .02 to consider.

P.S. great prices can be had on Ebay for the Oster version of the Coleman Hot water heater.

I've never slept in a teardrop...................but if it has insulation, I think you'll be surprised how warm you'll stay with just a comforter on top of you in bed. The cabin has a limited amount of cubic footage and I really think that unless you are planning on serious cold-weather camping, you'll do just fine without something as "over-kill" as the Yodi heater. That said, I'll definately be buying something like it for heating shower water in the back country.

I'm sold on the shower but the heating options are well put I know it gets cold here but me and my wife are generally summer fall campers thanks again all
