Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

Teardrop Trailers pose a unique challenge when it comes to planning the galley. I can't stress enough how valuable it is to make a drawing & a full size cross section layout on a board and then sleeping on it. This morning I had fresh ideas that gave me the optimum use of the space considering I'm using the Outback Stove/Oven combo. My main counter is 6 3/4" higher than the standard 36" counter top in house kitchens. Adjacent to the stove & below both drawers will be a Hoosier type top that will slide out individually to provide an additional 20+ deep top to work on. I’ve brought out the area below the doors to eliminate the dirt trap above the roll pan of the trailer. Now all I have to do is build it. No your eyes arn't going bad the top banding is a piece of Tiger Maple I had laying around the shop. Danny

Great suggestion, Danny. Always better to know exactly where one plans on going! It's okay to adlib on a trip, but never a building project!

Thanks Chris & Ira, just trying to help like everyone has done for me. Even in this day & age of computer generated drawings this is the method used by Cabinetmakers unless he has a plotter and then it is the same. I like laying out projects in pencil and keep a sander handy to make changes. The creative juices really get flowing when laying out full size. Danny
