Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

I went to mount my windows in the trailer last night and found that the small lip that the inside trim ring should screw in to wasn't very big. The screws just turned in the slot and made a big hole and didn't hole for nothing. So, I ended up drilling holes in the window frame and after applying the neoprene gasket strip material , set the window in and screwed it to the trailer wall with a bunch of small screws. It seemed to hole ok and it sucked the window in tight to the wall. I think Madjack had this similar problem and this is what worked for him. I may still put the trim rings inside the same way just to finish the inside cutouts for looks and giggles. I don't have any pics (sorry ) but i did get the windows in and sealed. I get to pick up some carpet tonight after work and try to get that in tonight. It's almost done! Just some "LITTLE" things to finish up. And we all know what that means, don't we. The little things never seem to end. THanks for all the info and support on this forum. WHat a great bunch! Oh, and pics will follow, I promise.

I work at my REAL job during the day, Ira. I try to work on my trailer every night that I can. I don't know what I will do soon as it is done. At least I will get to park my truck in the garage again!

Sunny we mounted the windows thataway because the supplied trim ring was just plain junk and looked bad...if your windows are similar to ours, there is a pair of weep holes in the bottom of the window frame(outer) that had rubber plugs in them...the plugs haveta be removed for proper drainage around the frame track...

Great looking TD. I was looking through your gallery and noticed that if you turned your hitch over, that it would pull level. Is there a reason that you are pulling it nose high?
