Looks fantastic, thanks for sharing the progress photos.

I like the idea of the generator, but the prospect of the propane consumption. I have enough problem with the water heater sucking gas with our 20# bottle. Better get a 30#

I remember from those that did an automotive (carburetor) propane conversion, that they had to use exhaust gas analysis to set it.

I'm just fascinated by the assembly process of your teardrop and that the manufacturer allows pictures to be taken of the progress - it's indeed a little gem of a tear

I didn't like the prospect of having to carry " Extra Gasoline " that might spill,fumes etc. And I really hate the smell of " Exhaust Fumes ".

So, the " Propane Conversion "seemed like the best choice.

My primary concerns will be to keep my " Battery Charged " , with a secondary concerns for the need to run my " Air Conditioner " .
And third , " Emergency / Earthquake Prepardness " issues.

I won't know for sure what my needs will be until I do a trial run. At that point, I'll make an assesment, on what my " Propane " needs are ( 20# + ) ?

I'm also checking on the pricing of a " 20# & 30# Aluminum Propane " tank(s), just in case ... ?

Run time on the generator? We did run time testing running a air conditioner with the LP Honda 2000. I am going to assume the Yamaha is going to be similar. We found it to use about a lb an hour under load. So, your standard 11lb tank will have 9 usable lb in it approximately.

Once you get the cabin cool the air probably can get turned off and then you can shut down the generator. So, I wouldn't think you would need to run the generator all night.

I really don't plan to use the " Air Conditioner " that often, unless I absolutely can't stand the heat, while trying to get some sleep .. ?

I'm most likely going to use more " Propane " on a daily basis for my " Cooking " , with both the " Galley Stove ", along with my portable " BBQ " , identical to the one in the below " Photo "


So, a " 20# " , might just be all I really need !
If not , I'll haul another one, just to run the " Generator " & my Portable " Propane Lantern "

This is just one of the little details that makes the people at Camp-Inn the best, when they start your build they send you a link so you can see your trailer being built. Then when you get your trailer they give you a disc with all the photos on it.

Crud...it sure looks easy when the pro's do it!!!

Well, the Pro's are doing it for their living .... and not in their spare time! It looks really lovely and enviable. You'll have fun with it!

Well everyone , its almost completed .. just waiting for a delivery date ..


Curtains hung and cabin lights wired.


The kitchen area is complete.


Doors are hung.


Alcan cover is installed and propane tank is installed. The protective coating is removed for final inspection and cleaning.
