Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

Sure looks like a basic combo of the Little Guy Retro and Silver Shadow.

Anyone know the history/story?

Yesterday my wife and I stopped by the dealership in Auburn, CA to look at the American Teardrop Falcon 5x8

We were very disappointing with the quality. These are the first teardrops we've seen in person.

From the outside, they appeared great, and the interior dimensions were comfortable. Unfortunately, the quality of the craftsmanship on the inside was very poor. The wood in the galley had a very poor finish and was splitting and cracking on several of the trailers. The interior trim on every trailer was already coming off and the galley linoleum was peeling. These are brand new trailers! Why would I pay $5000+ for such poor quality.

We were interested primarily because of the low price and proximity of the dealer, but I wouldn't pay that much for the poor craftsmanship. Now we're looking for other dealers to visit.

They also had a used Silver Shadow and a 4X8 Hawk that had been lifted and outfitted with larger tires and a light duty skid plate. There was also another teardrop model that I did not look at that was larger and appeared to unfold/open.

Keep in mind, these are the fist teardrops I've looked at in person. I don't know what to expect from other brands until I see them as well.

Sweet, they have 14" tires. Wonder what size wheels they have.

I'll be a little harsh, if their quality is anything like their spelling, I wouldn't buy from them.

i was poking around on there website and it appears that half the content is still from the template they used to make the site. there site leads me to believe these are made over seas from how they talk about assembly and that there being shipped in trucks. but i really really hope im wrong the last thing we need is a bunch of cheap chinese lead covered teardrops

I guess they are "manufactured" in Ohio. That may just be the assembly, though, who knows where the parts come from.

Yes I got the last one. The trailer is built well But the galley is cheap.I got it on ebay for $3550.00, new. I'm going to rebuild the galley. Given the low cost I can aford to make it the way I want it. All part of the fun of teardroping.
