Oh yes, Ultra says it all. I've always loved that rap around couch. It just screams for a good book or your laptop computer.

Welcome and I look forward to more visual :pictures: postings from you after you get out in it!

Congrats and welcome aboard!

A very nice divorce consolation, indeed.

Where's your first camping destination going to be?

Did they give you a ballpark date on when it'd be ready?

 :applause:

I like that chrome drink holder. All the folding ones I've seen are black or white and square. I wonder where they get them?

Hey Hiker Chick,

I usually take a week long trip up to " Mammoth Lakes " during the 4th of July .
My buddy and I are avid Fly Fisherman . We usually try to hit all of the local Lakes in the area " Float Tubing ".. : Convict , Crowley, Rock Creek, etc. !
However, I had to postpone the trip this year and focus my future trips ( Vacation time & $$$ ) with my New Trailer , along with the " NEW GIRLFRIEND "... 8)

The paid in fullllll Cashiers check was mailed yesterday.
No ballpark build date set yet !!

I am so jealous. That is what we want to get. We looked at one last weekend and fell in love. I think we are going to have to scrimp and save for a while. I'd love to be able to order now, but we will have to wait until the spring. Did you look at SoCal, as well?

Hey gianine..

I've been looking around and reading everything I could , on this website & others , in anticipation of getting one. I really needed something small enough to fit inside my " Apt Garage ".Yes , I did consider several , including " Socal " ! The price was very. very reasonable .

I ended up spending much more on the " 560 Raindrop " , fully decked out .. with almost every available option , except the heater & roof rack , which didn't give it the right look .. in my opinion !

Again, I also had to count my pennies & save-up .. The divorce wiped me out financially :(
But, I'm considering retiring soon, after 30 years of service !! I'm hoping on enjoying a few brief years of road traveling & " Camping " in style !!

So, the " RAINDROP " was worth the extra $$$$, & with a bit more elbow room for reading a book or two, relaxed on the " Couch" :)

I enjoy contrasting the cost of my teardrop with how many nights I've spent in it multiplied by how much a decent hotel-cabin-lodge would have cost.

Teardrop has paid for itself in less than two years.

And the convenience of being permanently packed and comfort of sleeping in your own space = priceless.

:)

Yes - and we probably will go out of town a lot more often than we do now when we get one - and have fun bringing our dogs on vacation.

The Rain Drop series are really kewl... roomy, like sitting in a private movie theater when watching the DVDs

You'll love it... when you think, why don't they have this... you look and there it is...

Have fun, are you going to drive back to pick it up??? it's a fun drive, well along the northern route that is... believe there is a person's pic showing the drive from SF, CA...

Kewl...

Hey All,

Just an " FYI: I was spending a weekened " Vacation " with my girlfriend in " Solvang C.A " about this time, last year .
We decided to head down to the harbor in " Santa Barbara " to hang out on the beach, Lobster dinner, Wine , etc. :)

Well , I then decide to checkout the prices on the Hotels along the beach front.

WOW ... " $ 500- $1200 " for a one night stay ...

I'm not cheap, I like to eat very welll .. but , I normally average less than ($500.00) for a weekend (Sat/Sun + Girlfriend) trip, Hotel , Gas & meals included !!

I can spend a whole week long camping trip to " Mammoth Lakes " for approx " $500.00 + ", depending on how well I eat & drink :R

So, ... I can say the " Raindrop " will pay for itself in the long run,... No doubts in my mind

My future plans are to " Travel " up & down the West Coast , before heading further east , Arizona, Nevada , Texas , New Mexico & possibly Old Mexico ???

It's going to be delivered.

I can't get away from work at this time , due to uncertain " Budget Cuts " personnel re-assignments, etc, which could affect both my girlfriend & I ??
