Frame Questions

So, I stumbled on this forum a few times in search of solutions regarding making my own frame and the geometry/design recommendations.

I am new here, obviously, as a first time poster.

I found “ TRAILER FRAME BUILDING TUTORIAL” from Doug and “Unnamed”, that was a pdf from this forum.

Basically put, it was a thick but helpful read. Do yall have additional recommendations?

Several teardrops have been build using my chassis plan:



The steel is 2" .120 square tubing.

Axle Order Details
• #9 Dexter Torflex axle, downrated to 1600 pounds
• Start Angle: 22.5” down
• Trailer width: 59.5”
• Hub face: 74”
• Hub diameter: 6.5”
• Bolt Pattern: 5 on 4-1/2” with standard studs
• Lubrication: EZ Lube
• Electric Brakes: Yes
