We plan to take the "Escapod" on it's first trip in two week's time so it looks like busy evenings and weekends until then

I like it. It's looking sweet. I like the way you dropped the stove in the counter too.

Keep the photos coming!

Galley now usable!!!

Note the essential kettle for the inevitable cup of tea.

Only the panelling in the cabin and fitting the licence plate to go :worship:

Isn't it amazing how long the last mile is!!

I thought we had maybe 4-5 hours work left to complete the interior to a point where we could comfortably use it................one 7 hour and one 10 hour day later we are just about there!

We were going to use some 4mm hardboard (masonite for US readers) which we had lying around for some of the internal panels but after trial fitting a few pieces decided it wouldn't have the long term robustness we wanted. So it was back to good old tongue and groove board (wainscotting) which meant another trip to Wickes! Thankfully this is all now fitted, gotta love a nail gun, but the Escapod does now rather look like a sauna on wheels!

We haven't fitted any cupboards as yet but have a couple of shelves up for TV, etc.

Just got to clad the inside of the cabin door and double check roadworthiness issues like lights, tyre pressures, etc. and we're off for our first trial tow which seein as we are camping in her this weekend is cutting things a little fine.

Once I get some slack time I'll take a few more pics and post them.

Lots and lots of final trimming and tidying to be done but I think she's usable.

Can I join the 95% finished club??

Thanks for all the encouragement form members & friends here.

All legal so took her out in a quick shake down run.

All seems fine :applause: :applause: :applause:

Here's what she looks like hitched up:

And this is us looking happy about it:

Looking forward to our first trip away in her this weekend.

Couple of interior shots, as you can see some trim still to be done, but ready to go!

Hi all

With the recent bits of good weather we've been able to make some progress from 95% complete to 99.95% [smilie=big_yeah.gif]

The interior is now finished (until I decide to do some more!):

Also added a bit more storage to the galley:

The Major change though is the exterior, we decided that the cream colour was too bland and also prone to showing the dirt so we thought we'd mix it up a bit:

Now really looking forward to the first outing at the Brean Delica meet at the end of the month.

Cheers

That knotty pine interior is just awsome. I think I'll have to do that on my next build...
