Steve F, you can't just throw aftermarket taillights on that tear. you have to get jeep taillights on there to finish off the theme, and mount a snorkel on the side for fresh air intake!

Hmmm, the snorkel idea is pretty neat :)

Anyway, put some paint on today, just the first coat. The colour is hard to show in the pics but it is Forest Green and close-ish to the colour of my Jeep. Later in the weekend I'll get some pics in the sun. The roof is Aluminium coloured paint to help keep it cool.

Aluminium checkerplate will be along the bottom to tie the roof colour in and protect the lower edges.

I think I will leave the door jamb area stained wood, my Dad reckons it will be like crawling into a gentlemans club with this colour scheme, just need a brown leather interior ;) You can also see where I embedded some aluminium angle into the door jamb to act as a stricker so the wood skin doesn't get damaged.

Tomorrow another coat goes on and then I do some more work on the hatch to get it ready for paint and permanently mounting it.

Cheers

:applause: :applause:  Looks great! Now, fathers are always right and some brown leather would look great. Don't know how you are going to keep it clean with all that mud though. 8)

You'll need a covered side tent to disrobe in. ;)

Did the second coat, decided after looking at it for ages it was too "green" so mixed up my own 400ml of Forest Green and 75ml of Black. It's much closer to the Jeep colour now and not so in your face... I like it much more.

After this coat it has a good shine to it.

Looking good Steve,

Hey, do you suppose you could add a bunch of photos to your album so I can look at all the pics you take? ;)

That, in my humble opinion is the best tiny trailer on this site. I love the lines and color you chose. Shes a beaut.

a suggestion

Postby Jeeper92 » Sun Mar 30, 2008 6:48 pm

Get some diamond plating (bout 6 inches) and put it on the side of that trailer, itll go with the rugged jeep look and give ya some rock protection
