Thanks :) Did some more, started to seal the kitchen and decided I liked the flames and that the rear galley wall was a bit plain so cut some more.

Flames are just propped up so I could see what they would look like

Easier to see them here. I like the colour that the wood has come up with even with just the clear spa varnish. This is with one thin coat so far and as you can see the draws and galley wall have nothing on them.

Couple of coats of spar urethane on the kitchen now :) Oil based gloss for the kitchen but I'll use a water based semi gloss for the cabin area as this stuff is really fumey.

Two more coats should do it :)

2 coats of satin spar urethane have gone on with another 2 to go (24 hours between each coat so it takes a while). Doing the ceiling is a killer.

Looks good though, no tint in this just clear. The light coloured cubby holes are getting carpeted.

Nice work Steve, you look to be on track for your end of month shakedown run.

What's the block in the upper left corner of the door for?

One end of the curtain rail holder, the other has a spring in the hole and the rail pushes in and locks in at this end. Yep, right on target so far :)

Wiring all done, LCD and stereo in for the last time now. Also carpeted the foot end storage space, need to carpet the inner guards and the head end cubby holes but I had to put the mattress in. It worked out perfect, I laid down vinyl first and used that as a template to cut the mattress around the guards. It's nice and tall so sitting in the door way is comfy with the door jamb not digging in to my legs. I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.

It was great to finish doing the urethane on the interior :)

Took some pics outside again finally, thought a bit of sun and wind would help air it out :) Only 4 days until I'm off for a long weekend. Just need to get the diamond plate on.

hi there, i have just recently joined the forum and have been following your build up for about four months now, at the risk of sounding rude can you say roughly what it has cost for your build up? it's a very clever design eh! good stuff

Been a while but it's had some updates with diamond plate etc. Also got a large tool box, waterproofed it, taped some bolt holes in the frame and now have a very useful tongue box :) Cost was around $3000AUD for the total build. I also found the front window seal is not real waterproof at speed, it will be replaced and I'll also make a sealed protection shutter to go over the top of it and double as a sun shade.
