Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

Here is the first drawing of my new tear's sidewall layout..
It will be built out of 1" sq. tubing .050 wall and the total weight of the bare side should only be >50 lbs when finnished.

The current Dimensions are 14' x 5'3" also note that I haven't framed in the windows yet... So tell me what you think..

It will be steel tubing and the overall height will be 6'3" appox.

1"steel tube by .049 weights .59lbs per foot so it looks like your going to have at least 65 lbs and if the mid frame and door opening frames are larger it will be a few lbs more. Then you still have the weight of the inner and outer wall covering and insulation .....but it should be plenty strong. you could save a few lbs by losing the lower side rail and even more if you make the side rail of the trailer part of the cabin and lose both side rails I made my hatch frame from 1" tube and found you have to watch your" heat warp" close or the end result gets real interesting
