You see a few unhooked clearance lights
and the hatch rubber gasket cover is not
in place and the nose is still not pulled down
into place but we are looking to be towable
and campable for the 10/7/07 outing here in Indiana.

Inside 5'3" wide x 6' 8" long on the sleepy side and galley is just shy of 3' deep
5'6" inside height.

I can stand crouched.

I sat in a camp chair while wiring my electrical boxes.

They are flip outs , there hinged at the front to the sides. Took some heavy duty steel door hinges to support the weight of the cabinets and the hatch lid !

I really like the see-thru roof. Looking at the stars would be really nice. Do you have any type of shade to put upif you wanted? Can people see in if they look down on you?

Really ! I'm 5'9" and I would have to stand on a short stool to see in . The galley wall blocks the back and there are cabinets in the nose so you would pretty much have to be 6'8" or more or be on stilts and stand over the roof to see much of nothing!

It is a bronze tinted lexan If there is no inside light it would be difficult to see in but with the lights on inside it's pretty much like looking thru a tinted window. So just dress in the dark. I am curious how much solar gain we are gonna get during the day. I have been working in it on 90 degree days and its been warm but not unbearable. The lexan has a uv blocker in it.

Wanted a heatproof surface to set the coleman stove or just land a hot pan and had some 4" x 4" ceramic tile so I inserted it into the luan and grouted with 100% white silicone. Thought it would take the shock and impact better than normal qrout. Edge trim is not installed yet.

Miriam if you look close you can see the barrell of the hinges they are mortised in the osb under the luan and the luan covers the ear of the hinge to make the flip out counter

Wanted a nice shelf on the galley wall and I had this oak
fireplace mantel stored for 7 years didn't know what to
do with it until last month. I measured the mantle and
it was 5'4" my inside dim's on chubby is 5'3" close enough
with a real careful 1/2" trim on each side it became the
galley wall headboard. (Yeah We're sleeping feet first.)
The switch ( yeah I know it needs trim too) is ac flip
dc rotary just an arms reach away and lights up the
little $5 kerosene lantern that I converted to 12v halogen
and ac bulb looks so Kool lit up. There are a pair
His and Hers on each side!
