Family Camper

6' wide, 12' long, 5' tall. Sleeps four, wrap-around dinette converts to 66" x 72" bed. If you eliminate the table, this could be a home theater of sorts with a big cushiony U-couch. Dual bunk beds @ 29"x66". Rear galley. Hidden porta pottie to be slid out when in use.

YEA!!!!!!!!!!!! that does look great. Lots of room. I LIKE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wrong side would be relitive wouldn't it? If he only uses it in his drive way or at the camp side it would not be hanging out into traffic.

What happens if you have two doors, which is right. (left)

Hey Andrew, Look into my thread about your Compact II. ("I GOT IT..)
Could you render what I'm thinking of? I haven't mastered CAD yet and need some point of reference. I ask since this is your drawing.

mirror the image and the door is back on the "traditional" side.

I like it too, you might consider dropping the floor there by the door? It might allow enough extra head room that you could almost stand up.

Pretty nice plan you have going there

A teardrop for four. That's what I need. Nice design.

Love the design, but do the wheel wells intrude into the lower bunk?

As designed, the wheel well is directly under the lower bunk. The center part of the bunk would have understorage - possibly a water tank since its so well centered - or a drawer that slides into the big room.

For some reason, my brain designs with the door on this side. I think its because I built my teardrop with two doors and looked at this side the whole time due to garage constraints. That said, I'd rather have the door on the British side - it seems more suitable for right handed people. I don't know why, but it does. I'm sorry Steven Colbert and Rob Spewack!

If someone didn't need or want the bunks that space could be made into a slick bathroom. Terlet on one side and shower/bathtub on the other. You're feet would set in the tub while'st your on the terlet.
