yoyoman How is that tear of yours doing?

i saw your tear pop up on the top of the page and it really caught my eye.

the profile is very similar to what i have been hashing over in my mind and i would like to build something similar to it.

did you by chance work off plans? if so which ones?

Hey Looped - teardrop is fine

I had a kenskill profile in mind but spoke to somebody who told me to do a 24" radius on the front and a 48" on the back of a 4x10 sheet of plywood.
Well that was simple so it became the profile. The trim idea came after I saw
boomboomtulum's beautiful machine.
I took the fuel cap from the cruiser into HomeDepot to match the paint.
I have no plans. I can't even give you dimensions because I just built without thinking....there was some swearing and beer involved at various stages.
cheers

Thats a really neat job you've done. I.m still playing around with ideas for a first build, and its great to see that such a simple concept ( 48 radius on back and 24 on front) can work so elegantly. It also avoids all the issues of scaling up a complex outline from a drawing.

Well done you, and congrats on a very professional looking finish & fit out.
