Finalized Shape but NEED HELP.

Postby Randy S. Hager » Fri Sep 12, 2008 6:25 pm

Hi all, Here is my finalized shape for my TTT that will fit my family needs really well. It is a more rounded profile of Gerald_G's nice TTT. His interior arrangement is what I've been agonizing over. I didn't want to get too big but didn't want to have the galley outside so if we get a sudden shower we can still fix lunch and watch a movie. Let me know what you think.

Help with Design.

Postby Randy S. Hager » Sun Sep 14, 2008 5:01 pm

Hi gang, anyone interested in helping me with seeing this design in Sketchup? I can't seem to get very far with it. It might be my laptop not haing enough memory to process things. I'd like to see it fleshed out and have a look inside at things to see how it will be arranged. I know I would like to have bunks in the rear to the left of the door then the toilet/shower directly accross from the door then a closet. On the curb wall would be the galley with the frig next to the door and then the cooktop/range with cabinets over them. I would guess this thing needs to be at least 12 - 13ft long to get all inside. Would it still be a TTT??????????????? Any and all help would be appreciated.

What size beds?

Postby wlivesey » Sun Sep 14, 2008 7:58 pm

Wat size beds would you like in the trailer? I think they will drive the overall size...

Randy,
Ran into the same problem with my older laptop with 512K RAM. Tried to get Sketchup to load and found it needs 2M RAM to work. So I use the tower to do Sketchup. That's probably what you're facing.

Sketchup Help

Postby Randy S. Hager » Tue Sep 16, 2008 4:55 pm

Barrie:
WOW, thanks a lot for that rendering. I'll need to load Sketchup on my tower like Duke said he had to. I've got to see if I can get a little more in depth with this design.

Duke:
I was looking closely at your design for a while. I think I will get a 256K memory(320K total) stick for my laptop since it only has 128K + 64k built-in but will also load Sketchup on my PC to get things started.

Thank you both

Bed Size?

Postby Randy S. Hager » Tue Sep 16, 2008 5:04 pm

wlivesey;
The front dinnet will be the main sleeping area and I was thinking the trailer would be 78" wide and bed/seat would be 60" the rear bunks would only need to be 24" - 26" wide and be the width of the trailer. I'll do another MS Paint sketch and see how it looks and post it to my Album. Take a look at Gerald_G's trailer since his is what I based mine off of. BTW..... PM me to let me know your location here in DFW.

Thanks for your help

My Design

Postby Randy S. Hager » Tue Sep 30, 2008 11:44 am

Hey, I tried using Setchup to draw my design but, could not figure out how to close up the areas that I needed to erase to make the upper and lower rounded shapes. How do I close these areas up? Also, how do I define the drawn areas with the dimension I want for the plan form? I want 6' 6" width 6' 6" height and 12' length. I can't seem to find a place to define these dimension so I can have the floor plan form set before I make it a solid box to start refining the shape.

Thank you
