Hey T-Dude,

I found one in the door of an old Superior motorhome. Unfortunately it's packed up and ready to ship to the list owner, Mike, for one of his trailers. If you can't find a new one, you might try some of the RV salvage yards.

check with any local used appliance store. many old dryers and front load washers have "round windows and they may be free if you offer to haul away the appliance

Found this place in England. They look like nice windows. The exchange rate is a killer.

They look like the same windows used on the these English trailers

Make your own, using a router?

1) Make a circular recess in the body using the router pivoting around a screw.

2) Cut a piece of plexi to fit the hole.

3) Cut an exterior trim ring from 1/8" aluminum plate, again using the router to make the inside and outside edges circular. Drill and countersink the trim ring (outside the diameter of the plexi) for fixing screws.

4) Assemble the whole lot in place using a polyurethane sealant.

Need a diagram?

Andrew

You know, it's pretty easy to make a porthole window. Cut a round piece out of plexiglass, and then use some of this...

Thanks to 48rob for the link.

Although I used the window I got from Joanne, now that I know how it works, anyone can build one from scratch.
