Alternative Flexible Molding?

Postby goldcoop » Tue Nov 15, 2005 8:37 am

Hey all-

I came across this stuff when researching flexible archiectural molding.

Seems mighty flexible, UV stabilized for outdoor use and attached using conventienal nailing/exterior glue...

Anyone ever used this type of product on a Tear?

Cheers,

Looks interesting but I didn't see any price tags.

Hey Coop I've used the crown moulding before on some high end houses. Its pretty cool stuff however it is temp and humidity sensitive. If not controlled it will expand and contract. And price around here (Knoxville Tn) the suppliers think it is laced with gold

I can second Steve's comments. I've seen it used on several sites recently, and while the trim guys like it a lot, they say they only use it where they have to because it costs alot more than the wood it replaces.
