Well guys, I have finally gotten up enough courage to share my build photos with everyone (I had to make sure it was going to work out first!). My design is based on Andrew's Simple and George Teague's compact trailer (by the way thanks to George for allowing me to stop by, measure and photograph his trailer, his craftsmanship was unbelievable). With simple tools I knew I couldn't match George's, but I have been very proud so far of the result. I'm getting ready to paint and trim it out next as the inside is nearly complete.

I don't have a name for it yet but I'm working on that as well. Thanks to everyone's help as I have been lurking for many months and got many great ideas.

Thanks, David Byrum

David-

Yes there are folks out there who have build real beauties, some odd and strange, and others remain un-built!

Courage why courage?

Everyone has different ideas, budgets and skills that's what makes the people and their little gems unique!

It's a great build, you should be proud!

Cheers,

Coop

David, nothing to be worried about there...your little trailer looks just fine and once again you've proven that you don't haveta have a shop full of tools and a cabinet makers experience...all ya gotta do is just goforit...and you did, with excellent results...can't wait to see the finished product

Hey David, nice job. Thanks for sharing the pix. Now get out and use it! :applause: :applause: :applause:
Chris :D

The tension between what is good enough and what is beyond that creates the space for character to become our work.

I like it a LOT :applause:

I built a "square" one similar to yours about 15 years ago. I did have a door in one side and somewhat of a galley in the back with bulkheads between. Didn't have plans - just started building using particle board and poly urethane. It lasted about 5 years and was pushed off the chassis into the landfill.

Yours looks great. Properly cared for it should be a "hand me down". Know you've had fun with it and the fun's just beginning.

If it's not broken, you're not trying hard enough.

Hey Guys, thanks for the many nice comments. I've got it painted and I'm adding edge trim this week. Check my blog for new pictures then.

The hatch on rear traffic side is for an air conditioner. It sits on a shelf inside and then I open the hatch and slide it out. Very similar to George Teague's Compact
