Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

I been asked to build a one person trailer. The short the better .What do you think of a diagonal bed. Made from fiberglass /foam panels .the blue cabinets brown floor pink bed .will be pulling with old honda 750 motorbike . So need to be light. will have lifting roof .Head to door

Why Not? - Looks like a neat idea-- and I want orange shag carpeting, too.

How wide will the trailer be? I can't think of a reason not to do this, but if it isn't very wide, the diagonal will barely be any longer than the long side of it.

would a standard sleeping pad fit or will mattress (and bedding?) have to be custom cut?

I usually sleep diagonally anyhow. Does the bed have to be cut that way? Why not make the bed rectangular and let him sleep sideways on it?

I think it's an idea... but I also think it would make for inefficient use of space where storage is tight anyway.

Making the camper longer and narrower will make it easier to tow, less wind drag.

I love thinking up designs so here is one. Floor 3 x 7. Side walls, one foot high or less. The top is hinged at the end, the other end has a panel that lifts into the top to make a lopsided A frame. The sides are triangles that pull up into the A. Storage is lashed to the top. Of course, the hard part is the details.

* Wind resistance would be my first concern, if towing with a motorcycle. Narrow and long, especially if just for a solo camper; the "cabinets" could be replaced by hanging mesh along the sidewalls (for clothes and consumables), and a hard storage box at the front...with or w/o access from the outside...(for necessary gear). One member (eggsalad)built a long & narrow trailer that would work for your customer
