Hi Gage!

For the first time in 18 years, I can travel during the holidays. I left Wal-Mart last August, some people say that I "retired", others say that I "RAN". Anyway, I hit the road with my mother, daughter and two of my seven grandkids [[four generations!] and we came to St. Louis to be with family for Thanksgiving.

The city sure has changed since I was last here. I use the term "Anywhere U.S.A." to describe my feelings about the urban explosion. Anywhere you go in the U.S., specifically around larger towns/cities, pretty much looks like anywhere else. IE: McDonalds, Applebee’s, Lowe's, Home Depot, Chiles, Wal-Mart, etc. They all look the same... It's the small towns that keep their character and their soul. Give me a two lane road and a teardrop trailer, and let me explore the heart of America. THEN, you'll have a happy camper.

Happy Thanksgiving to all. Thank you for being you. Our differences make us who we are and create this special country that we call home.

God bless.

Last time we came in two days later than we wanted to because I was still building. This year we'll come in two days later than we want because I will be floating the Grand Canyon with my boys up till the 13th but still don't want to miss Minden. What a great time with the nicest people on earth!

Did I miss getting a picture of your tear or is it one of those that I don't have owner or State noted?

Gage, I think you missed ours. It does show up in the background of Don Ferdinand's Call of the Wild, just over Carol's shoulder.

Oooh, marking my calendar now. I'll probably still be on maternity leave at that point and the baby will around 2 months old. Not sure if luke would be able to get the time off from his company - he won't have been there a year yet.

I'll have to see if this trip is doable so soon after giving birth, but dangit i'm gonna try!!!!!!!!!!

So do you arrive on the 14th??

Is it time to register? If so where?

Haven't started on our tear yet , but could have it road worthy by then.

Get there when you would like. Last year I got there Wednesday before it started and there were already a bunch there. As far as registration goes, it's not ready yet. It'll most likely be a couple of months yet. So hang in there and get that tear started.

I'll see you there. It's still too early to turn in a vac request but since it's in the middle of the year, I'll still have plenty.

:D My wife gave me the  to make the trip. Should make a great maiden voyage of the Rolling Stone, but I've got some work to do.
I reread this thread and other than Minden NE, I didn't see any names of the campground it will be at.

Scott,
The campground is located at the Pioneer Village in Minden. Corner of Hwy 10 and Hwy 6/34.
