Postby JunkMan » Tue May 02, 2006 8:28 am

If anyone out there is planning a trip to (or thru) South Dakota this summer check out this site: http://travelsd.com/Ethanol/index.asp

The South Dakota Dept of Tourism and the American Coalition for Ethanol have joined together and are offering a free ethanol voucher good for $20 worth of ethanol blended fuel during your South Dakota vacation.

Licensed drivers from Kansas, Illinois, Texas, Colorado, Missouri, Wisconsin, North Dakota, Iowa, Minnesota and Nebraska are eligible to receive an ethanol voucher.

Only one voucher per household will be mailed. Vouchers will be mailed starting April 1, 2006.

Of course, they will also be happy to send you a South Dakota vacation guide as well as other South Dakota tourisim information.

With the price of gas in So Cal I might start burning Tequila in my Mopar.

For those that are wondering, the debate on ethanol use in today's vehicles is out to lunch at the moment. There have been recorded cases of damage to modern engines due to it's use.

My Nissan specificially says - no ethanol-- too many rubber and plastic parts I think. Seriously, it cost me $80 to find and replace a 2" rubber hose with a hole in the back where I couldn't find it.
