Southwire liquidtight NM straight PVC conduit fitting connectors and Carlon's version look nearly identical, but the Southwire version is much nicer to work with. The PVC goes on easier and the threads work much smoother.

Home Depot advertises Southwire, but you may end up having Carlon at your local store.

Sure am glad I don't have 5 billion to lose that way. I think I'd feel just awful!

So I'm working on what I am convinced is a totally dead electrical circuit in Mom's damp basement. Shelly is upstairs and only knows I'm doing something with the old game-room wiring. The house has central air and the fan is on. It is raining outside (because we are in Upstate New York in September).

As I'm working on an outlet several wires touch. I think one had black insulation and the other white, or fuchsia, or green, or something. Just then the lights flicker, and the fan makes a loud BANG! I scratch my head (making sure the hairs are not standing on end). "That's strange," I say to myself. I deliberately touch the black wire to the green, just to make sure there is no spark. As I do, the lights flicker again, and there is another loud BANG. Shelly yells down "Are you okay?"

"I believe I am," I yell back, "but I cannot completely rule out the possibility that I electrocuted myself and this is an after-life hallucination." "Great!" I think to myself, "I've died and gone to my just reward and that reward is the damp basement in the house I grew up in." There seemed a certain theological justice to that--a feeling I just couldn't shake--it seemed slightly plausible.

However, Shelly favors the first theory. I did get out my meter and confirmed that, yes, the circuit really is dead. I mean, I even see the end of the wire I'd cut earlier proving it.

So I guess it was a coincidence. Unless there is (slow) internet access in the hereafter.

Our toaster died a few weeks back, it's wasn't a pretty sight so I won't go into details.
We got a new one and it had this helpful guide that I thought I would share with my fellow TD and tiny trailer brethren for their toasting pleasures.
And too answer the flood of income questions that this will provoke, yes the level 1 setting is for dried out slightly warm Wonder bread.

Very useful! I had a hard time convincing Shelly that I actually like Level 6 (as I now know it is called) while we were dating, and she would throw those pieces away before I could get to them with margarine. (Now that we are married, I have to make my own toast!)

Runs in the family. First time Dad made me a slice like that, he and Mom said I didn't have to eat it, and looked at me funny when I tried it. Tasted good, and they said I had Grandpa Farrell's taste-buds. I suppose he probably hated broccoli too.

It's heals in my house, I don't buy hotdog buns for my sausage dogs, heals work good for that plus they can be a life saver for my morning peanut butter toast and tea on the weekends.
