Happy Memorial Day!

I hope you are enjoying your picnics and remembering those who sacrificed for us.

My dad was a WWII Navy pilot who joined the effort late in the war. Though he was in active service for about 18 months he was never deployed. I often wondered why he didn't talk about his service days. I think that is typical with those who experienced deployments and combat. I've come to the conclusion that dad was humble about his service. Some of his friends and acquaintances were in combat and several didn't come home alive. As someone who never served I am proud of and humbled by those who have. Thanks Vets!

Remember the fallen. They died so we could live and enjoy a free life.
