I live half way between Beaver and Virgin. I gotta tell you honestly, Beaver is a much nicer place.

Just to make it more comical, there are three towns as you drive south on I-15 in Utah: Holden, Fillmore, Beaver. That'll keep you awake on a lonely stretch of freeway.

The Beaver high school team mascot is, of course, the Beavers, but I always thought that was lame. The Beaver Badgers would be more clever, although more confusing, especially for us Utahns. How about the Beaver Rams? Beaver Warriors? Beaver Peccaries? Perhaps the best would be the Beaver Trappers. Nope, it's got to be the Beaver Gladiators.

When stationed in the Philippines, I remember a bar called, "Two Dog's F*cking", and another was called, "Red Lips". 8)

Here in Norman, OK, being a college town, we have some interesting names. One of the cutest is the Library. Lot's of college kids at the Library it seems!!!! Don't think much book learnin' is goin on though!

The tension between what is good enough and what is beyond that creates the space for character to become our work.

There is a town up here called Climax, so everyone calls the bar THe Climax Bar. This week the town decided not to put up any more signs with the town name as they are are stolen. Now the town name will just be painted high on the grain elevator.

Bar names

GAGE

Another bar and grill we have here in San Diego is called

"THE GREEN FLY"... Every time I go there it reminds me of the reason I promised myself not to go there again.

Crankshaft.

Bigwoods,

Roswell, New Mexico can't keep their sign up as well. I think the aliens keep taking it!

There is a street just below my house called "Easy Street" (wouldn't that be a great place to live!). They mounted the sign about 20 feet up on a phone pole, and it has about a dozen bolts holding it on, since it has been stolen so many times.
