How would I send a copy of just an audio clip to someone ? Need to send copy of old answering machine message to my sister. How would I record to computer and send it ? Can I record to computer using a microphone and then send to her ? If so then how. Help please.

Alan,

I do not know if you have an application that has a recording function but that with the microphone would allow you to create a .wav file that you could send just like sending a picture to somebody.

Alan, most sound cards have an inputi/micin jack on the back of your PC...this should allow you to capture the message as a .wav file(large file) using something like Nero or Musicmatch...the program you capture with should allow you to save as a .wav or .mp3 which can then be sent over the ethershpere........

Windoz has a pretty basic sound recorder that works with a microphone. You can find it under Start, all programs, accessories, enterainment, sound recorder. If you have a microphone hooked up all you have to do is press record. If you are using a laptop, you may have a built in microphone too.

Thanks folks. Micro the tape has to go international and I would be afraid of it being erasedby scanning devices.
