But has anyone here made Turducken? What is a Turducken?

It's not just Prudhomme's recipe--everyone makes it.

As a matter of fact, Paula Dean made it today on one of her Thanksgiving shows, so if you go to foodtv.com, click on her name and recipes for today's shows, you'll see how SHE does it. And her recipes are the best.

I think the idea actually comes from the Arabs, but it didn't involve poultry:

Id have somthing to add to this but I wont ..... Whats after the Rabbit? A Gopher? Tight Quarters wouldnt you say?

But has anyone here made Turducken? What is a Turducken? It is a recipe from Chef Paul Prudhomme of New Orleans. Basically, it is a turkey, stuffed with a duck, stuffed with a chicken, layered with three different types of stuffing.

I don't think I want to eat anything that starts with "Turd"!

Ya gotta have left overs. So at least 6 pounds if it is on the bone.

If you find a US Military base you will find pumpkin in a can. Just get a soldier to get it for you or ask the nearest Expatriate how to find it. (If you are lucky they will volunteer a pie for you. )

You need cranberry sauce, and smashed potatoes or candied yams or both. (I do both) Green bean casserole and green peas or corn. Yeast based dinner roles and gravy.

Sorry no USA Military Base in our Saunaland. And looking for the US Soldier in Saunalandl is like looking for a needle in a haystack...

But ok lottsa Apples though....

Danny--I'M NOT KIDDING!!!

It's not actually up its rear. They split the animals open.

It's early and I'm at home now getting my olderone ready for school, but I'll try to remember to research it when I get to the office.

I may not have all of the animals right, but I'm telling you--this was the concept where Turducken came from.
