...Dreaming of a white Christmas...but alas, not to be...

If we want to see a white Christmas, we'd have to go to the beach. It's been in the 80s for the past few days. We were driving aournd last evening, looking at Christmas lights on homes and had the A/C running part of the time. The closest we've come to snow is some rain for the past couple of days. This is the time of year I look back fondly on the truly white Christmas' I saw in Maryland while I lived there.

Whether your Christmas is white or not, Happy Christmas Eve everyone.

Sometimes I pretend to be normal. But, that gets boring...so I go back to being me.

Dale- Don't feel bad-I live in Central New York and there is no snow to be found! Temps have been in the high 40's which is down right balmy for this time of year. No real snow accumulation is in the forecast so I guess it's a green Christmas for us Nor'easterners too!

It usually tries to sneak at least a little white stuff in the night before but I don't see it happening this year. We are definitely in for a green/brown Christmas I'm afraid.

Of course we always have a white Christmas. Wish I could ship some out. I still prefer water to be in it's natural liquid state, as opposed to fluffy white and ice. Some are ice fishing, but there in about 6" of ice on the lakes. Actually our winter has been mild. First year ever I have not had to blow snow with my tractor before Christmas.

Blame it on El Niño

From the NOAA Web site:

Typical El Niño effects are likely over North America during January-March 2007, including warmer-than-average temperatures over western and central Canada, and over the northwestern and northern United States, wetter-than-average conditions over portions of the U.S. Gulf Coast and Florida, and drier-than-average conditions in the Ohio Valley and in portions of the Pacific Northwest. Global effects that can be expected during December-March include drier-than-average conditions over most of Malaysia, Indonesia, northern and eastern Australia, some of the U.S.-affiliated islands in the tropical North Pacific, northern South America and southeastern Africa, and wetter-than-average conditions over equatorial East Africa, central South America (Uruguay, northeastern Argentina, southeastern Paraguay and southern Brazil) and along the coasts of Ecuador and northern Peru.

It's midnight Christmas Eve here in Eureka, just looked outside and the temp is 61 degrees with rain. We don't get temps this warm in the middle of the day this time of year. Weird Weird weather.
