I like maps and get them free from AAA: with a map and a compass mounted on my dashboard (yeah, I'm geezin') I've never failed to find my way to where I'm going and back home again. I use maps to but my GPS also gives me gas stations resturants banks all kinds of info and phone numbers. Plus the it talks to me so I don't have to have someone in the vehicle telling me what road to go on or having to pull off to read the map. My wife didn't like me buying it but now uses it all the time.
