Daytona Busch Race...

Postby Dean in Eureka, CA » Sat Feb 17, 2007 6:38 pm

Well... I'd say after the truck race last night, today's Busch race was ho-hum at best.
It was nice to see Kevin Harvick get his first Daytona win though...

You know, I was just thinking the same thing!! What a waste of a perfectly good day - I should have known better. Just think, California is coming up on the 25th yet another ho-hum race. Take me back to the short tracks...............

You know the basic concept of the "Car of Tomorrow" is sound except that I just can't quite get splitter vanes and wings into the equation. Frankly I'd like to see an alternative to NASCAR with a whole lot less money on the respective tables. Today it costs 35-40 million just to start a new team and a major sponsor is pumping in around 7 million or more to be on the hood and quarter panels. I've got a ton of ideas but then again - where do you start?
I think the advent of Toyota is a good one, we need more than the big 3 to champion. This is a good idea but I say keep the money in America if they want to play.
I just hope and pray that Michael Waltrip wins tomorrow - that would be the crowning moment for him.

I'll say one thing... His team sure has worked hard.
They went out for practice today, all bondo'd up... trying to get just a bit more down force. They'll have to repaint the car from the door, clear back to the bumper and then re decal the entire thing.
Not much time for all that in an impound race.
OK...
So you're taking Mikey.

It must have been a good deal, multi, multi millionaire, races for a living and now he marries a model. Some guys have all the luck. :envious:
