I was sales manager for our local Honda motorcycle dealer in the mid 70's
and had a customer trying his best to beat me up on price. When this happens the plan is to off the difference in accessories rather than cash. The $400.00 we were haggeling over bacame a windjammer fairing with windshield. Three weeks later my new buddy came rushing in the door grabs me by the hand pumps a hardy handshake and without letting go drags me to the parking lot and shows me a red headed woodpecker handing by his broken neck the beak clear thru the 3/8 lexan windshield. He was real thankful he chose the accessory package

Hit a cat once, at least think it was a cat, on my dirt bike, was topped out in 6th gear on an old fire road. Must of spooked it out from the bush, it hit the side of my front wheel. Went into the spokes,, stopped the wheel, kinda,, I remember going over the bars close to 80mph. Waking up some time later about 100 ft past the bike. I had severe roadrash type scrapes on my back and a shattered helmet, sore knee. But I got up and limped the bike home. Several broken spokes, virtually all plastic panels on the bike were toast, fuel tank was leaking and the handlebars were bent. Not to mention the fur and blood everywhere. Over $600 in damage on a bike that I bought used for $700...
That was 25 years ago and I still hate cats,,
