I post this every year, it's the Wakarusa Camping and Music Festival. Here's the website, www.wakarusa.com . It's the weekend before the ITG but some from the southern USA members might migrate north and make a trip of it. I'm going to both so if anybody is interested, let me know!!

Hey Jeff

Will you make it to Dogstock this year? http://www.dogstockfestival.com/
Only about 6 miles away from me and I've never been. Maybe it will work out this year.

Last years headliner was Edgar Winter, this year Leon Russel. 8)

If they boot you out Melvern Lake is 3 miles out of Melvern, it has several state and federal camp grounds, swimming areas and nature trails.

Or I have about 40 acres of wooded pasture in my back yard for anyone that wants a place to park (primative).

Jack:

Here are the Blues festivals in Kansas~

Here is the Blues Festival near heaven & at a Gothic church in Salinas Kansas in October 2007:

Enjoy the relaxed, Midwestern hospitality of Blue Heaven Studios, a world-class recording studio created in a Gothic-style church in Salina, Kansas. Formerly the First Christian Church, the main studio (sanctuary) recording area is 77 feet long, 52 feet wide and 45 feet high and seats 400 as a very intimate concert hall. It was designed with natural acoustics in mind, before microphones were utilized.

Another Kansas Festival

Postby pbb » Mon Jun 04, 2007 7:13 am

For many years, I've wanted to go to the Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, Kansas. They have a lot of great music, and also host the National Flatpicking Guitar Championship.

But it's a long way from Philadelphia to Winfield, and I don't want to go without my teardrop.

You don't want to forget the largest and longest running music fest in the country. http://www.summerfest.com/index.html At least once in your lifetime you need to go here. Music, brats and Harley's.
