I started working for Ford in 1969, there is nothing on your 66 that can't be fixed reasonably and quickly, even today.

Auto Zone is my best friend for parts. The only things I can't get are (original) master cylinders and such that are now illegal for street use due to safety.
Everything else seems to be in stock or can be ordered within a day or two.

I want to do a resto-mod on a 1972 Gremlin X. Restore it to look original, but use modern underpinnings.

A Gremlin towing a TD would have people smiling anywhere you take it. :D

I'm not sure it would be smiling, busting a gut is probably more like it. I don't think I ever considered towing anything with a Gerbil, those things were moderately dangerous in their own right. 8) 8)
