I don't know what the season is but next weekend is Mendocino and the following is the 10th Annual Great Beaver State Camp-out. I'm not sure my wife would let me leave her with the kids three weekends in a row.

Me: Honey, I leaving next weekend again to go clamming with my dad. After my fifth gathering this summer (runs and hides).
Her: What, you useless #$%*&%. I'm not staying home again with the kids while you run off again.
Me: :BE :O

What the heck is the name of that HUGE thing that you guys get in Oregon? Or is it only Washington?

It has the look/texture of a huge pisser clam, but each one weighs like a pound. (I think.)

I saw it on TV, so it must be good.

I saw this in the store and had to buy it. I still haven't worked up the nerve to try it though. It is just so wrong on many different levels.

First of all: Who the he!! came up with the idea for Clamato? Was the guy having a glass of tomato juice thinking to himself, "I think clam juice would really make this better."

Second: How did it get to market? How did he convince people, "Yeah, tomato juice and clam juice go great together."

Third: How did they decide that Budwiser would go good with Clamato?

Fourth: How did they convince someone to market Budwiser and Clamato together?

I'll be honest, I've never tried Clamato I just don't know how someone could come up with the idea to mix the 2.

Edit: Oops, sorry I didn't rotate the pic, I didn't realize that it wasn't. Now I'm too lazy to fix it.

Laying on your side is the only way it would make sense anyway.

Wait--it's pronounced "gooey duck," right? I think you just spelled it weird.

Dean, what the heck is razor clam anyway? Any pictures?

Ira,
It's the best eating clam on earth.
I'll have to get you some pictures next time.
The shells are pretty much flat, long, golden in color and very thin.
Wanna be carefull when digging them, can get cut pretty good running a finger into the edge of the shell.

Ira,
You're right on how it's pronounced but that's the way it's spelled.. It's the mascot of the Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington.. Kind of figures,, It's really a "wierd" college.
