Yes I was impressed by the videos . There is a you tube link that shows some reviews by the owners . There are other places selling the same bike . A Google search of Kikker 5150 will show you more info . It is a 110cc 4 speed . It weighs 200 lbs . It has front disc and rear drum brakes . I believe that the weight limit is 300 Lbs. The dual purpose bike above seems pretty sophisticated compared to the bobber but the cool factor with the bobber scores more points with me . .......................... D.J.

No they are not Ohlin forks but they're not bad. I took them apart this weekend to see what was inside and to replace the too thick oil with ATF.

$1400, wow! Even if it was complete junk that is cheap enough to try. I just dropped $4000 on a used Suzuki DR400. Are those Ohlin forks or just gold anodized tubes?

They are a little on the tall side but shorter than the largest dual sport Japanese bikes. A short friend of mine just bought one and has lowered it enough so he can get the balls of his feet on the ground on both sides. The forks can be slid up into the triple clamp about 1.5 inches and the rear spring preload is adjustable.

Wow. That looks like what I have been looking for also. Would that model fit a shorter rider? The few off road bikes I have looked at were to tall for me.

The one imported by American Lifan has a 17t front and 46t rear. Cruises easily at 60 mph. So far my mileage has been in the mid 80s.

I was curious about your bike, so I did a google. I found this info on a bike site that might be of some help...

"The bike is only good for about 45mph, maybe 50mph or so. So I bought a 44T rear sprocket to replace the stock 56T one, I got the new rear sprocket for only $9.95 plus $5.00 shipping. It is a honda SL/XL/XR standard bolt-pattern. The top speed is now 65+mph and actually accelerates better without having the gearing feel so close."

by all accounts it looks like a really good buy. I'd like to know the "real" gas mileage. the 102mpg claimed by the manufacturer seems a bit exaggerated.

I think Lifan copied a lot of things from many different bikes. The engine though isn't a copy of a Japanese engine. It's a push rod engine with a balancing shaft.

Is this motorcycle a knockoff of another bike? I'm just wondering.

I don't know about the copy of the Honda engine design but I doubt it since it's a push rod engine. There are many similar bikes on the internet for slightly less money but some have problems with poor quality components. Also there are many that don't come with the required MSO and EPA documents that are needed to license them in most states.

I read somewhere that the engine was a honda design that was never put into production and bought by them... but I really don't know. I have read cautions that "they" are being copied and to beware of not getting the real thing...

There is a 250cc Lifan cruiser bike that sells for $2200.00. A 400cc model is due out in the next couple months. Nice looking little bike if you like cruiser bikes.

Anyone know any sites for the cheap small quads they seem to sell everywhere but where I am??
I'm talking about the $4-500 dollar ones. The Lifans aren't bad but too much $ for something that will only get a couple of years use. Wouldn't be bad if they had a resale value but nobody wants to pay anything for a used one of them.
I need to find one I can pick up, $200+ for shipping is a little much.
Need one for the grandson soon!!
They used to sell them around here but I can't seem to find any now.
