There was a live action movie based on the Thunderbirds.

Team America, World Police, the spoof movie, was patterned after "Thunderbirds." All puppets.

I was a big fan of "Thunderbirds," and TA,WP was hysterical -- but NOT for kids.

Mike C. wrote::( My cartoons were 50's and early 60's. They haven't made any good ones since then. Then there were the good Saturday morning shows, Fury, My Friend Flika, Sky King and Roy Rogers and Dale Evans . And when I was little, we didn't have a TV, but an old upright radio, and used to listen to The Lone Ranger and Amos and Andy.
And Cisco and Pancho and the tales of the texas rangers and the firehouse gand and the little rascals and hans Conried with fractured flickers and Fury and Sargent Preston of the Yukon. The best parts the bad guys were trussed up and delivered to justice and not blown up with body parts and blood splattered everywhere. I am so glad I was a child born in the 50's bespite the cold war we were truely the blessed ones. Life was good and the world was friendly all I can do for my kids and grand kids is to say I'm sorry !!!!!
Growing older but not up !

Loved the Little Rascals. Not so much of a "Westerns" fan.

I don't know about Saturday morning cartoons now, but the animated movies from Pixar are pretty darned impressive. Monsters Inc. is one of my favorites.

For some, the 1950s were a blessed time, but for others, not so much. In life, as in cartoons, some things are worse today, and some better, IMO.
