Ok those of you have lil children or are grandparents of these precious little people..

We need some ideas..

Our Lil Samuel likes to play on the computer and at age 3 he sure is good.
And also quick to learn. Were trying to get him oriented with english as we did with our eldest.

What websites do your children like to play on that are for the little kids?
Any favorites that are non violent..

My 4 year old just loves hotwheels.com to play on. He also plays on nicktoons.com

It's not a website, and won't help much with English, but my daughter loved playing with an application called "AlphaBaby".

Mostly it was a way that she could play safely with my computer and not screw anything up. It flashes shapes, color, numbers and photos up on the screen when they mash buttons, and they can draw with the mouse. It's very simple, and free, and they can wail on the keyboard all day long and not hurt anything on the computer. May not be the best fit for what your looking for, but a good tool for anyone with a baby/toddler who seems fascinated by the computer.

Thanks for the websites.. I,ll show the lil man when he gets up.. Im sure he,ll enjoy the sites..

He,s gotten so bored with the ones he has at the moment it will be nice to have somthing new for him..

My 9 year old granddaughter loves that one, but you have to buy a WebKinz stuffed animal to get an access code for the site. (Her Grandma also seems to spend quite a bit of time there :lol:

WebKinz pets are small stuffed animals, and the code that comes with them allows you to sign up a virtual pet on the web site. The site contains games that allow you to earn "money" to buy online items and food for your virtual pet. You can also interact with your friends that have WebKinz pets registered online.

I have 4 grandchildren, ages 4,5,9,& 10. they have their own computer at home, but when they're at my house, the computer is off limits. I urge them to play outside, weather permitting, or read books, or come to my basement and help me build something.
My feeling is that too many kids are vegetating in front of a monitor, and not getting enough excersize.
As far as teaching english, can't help there. However over here, Spanish if fast becoming the national language. It is mandatory as a second language in a lot of schools.
