Some interesting thoughts presented. This one made me think and wonder. Did our founding fathers leave us with other writings about what they were thinking when they wrote the constitution? I've never taken the time to research this but those right-wingers are always saying that there are letters and other writings we "need" to read. Are there? Maybe someone else here knows. Are there other writings from our founding fathers that we "need" to read?
There are, but they are used selectively by those with special interests, too. Not just right wingers, but that group seems to do it a little more than others.
The constitution and writings of the founders, like the bible and other scriptures, can be used as a guide, or a weapon. That's why I'd love to go back for a visit and meet the real people involved, and ask questions and listen to what they have to say.
