Summer fun...

My new cruiser.
Well, not brand new, but new to me.
2006, 1600CC Nomad with 3400 miles.

My son asked me if I'd like to do some cross country touring, and dad thinks that's great!
Gave me a mighty good excuse to upgrade to a bike big enough to handle the job ;)

My son, now 21, has his own bike, but thought he needed to try mine...

We have a two week trip planned, about 3000 miles, sure looking forward to it, its very nice to do things with your kids "because they want to".

Rob

PS. For anyone concerned, we both have and use full safety gear.

And I'm thinking a small motorcycle cabin car would be appropriate!!

Rob you look good in the leather and shades. Have fun. Any specific destination planned?

Are you going to be able to tow that cabin car with that?
The impossable just takes longer & cost more.

Well... it probably has enough power to pull the trailer, but I don't think they make mirror extensions long enough!

Maybe someday if I get bored I might make a small trailer, but don't hold your breath...I really like the full size version.
Gotta draw the line somewhere between the hobbies.
Sure would be fun to do both at the same time though...
Hmmm, maybe I can ask my wife to tow the trailer, and I'll follow...

Our trip is from Illinois up to Wyoming to the BMW rally, then to Sturgis S.D. for a day, then to some of the historic sites like Little Bighorn, then through the mountains in Colorado before coming back home.
