Why do you think Gage is towing a 30 something kit rebuild with a 56 ford pickup He is a true American and these 50+ year old vehicles may well have been the last true all American products.
Like I said, it would be a huge challenge to find USA parts. My car was "made" in Kansas City but who knows where the parts came from to assemble it.
My HF frame was made in Croatia (probably with Chinese metal) and shipped to the USA and sold by Harbor Freight. HF is a legitimate "American Company" base in California. Yahoo!! Of course they import nearly everthing they sell.
My old Mustang (1965) was definately made in the USA with USA parts, rubber, wiring, etc. so I feel pretty good about that even though it's a real challenge to keep it up to date and reliable.
At least most of our tears were built by American labor in our own garages but my Aluminum came from Canada and other parts from elsewhere in the world.
It has to be very hard to compete with the low cost of labor in other parts of the world.
Oh well, we still have camping parks that are owned by people in the USA. (I think)
