1st day of fire season...

Postby doug hodder » Thu May 15, 2008 5:59 pm

I just PM'd Jack last night and mentioned that the first day of fire season was today. Someone out there didn't let anyone down. This was on the next ridge over from my place. I can still hear the planes working on it so they've been at it all day. Last one close to my house was started by someone with a lawnmower, it'll be interesting to hear how this one got started. The West is pretty dry folks, be careful! Doug

This will not be a good year for fires. Can't wait to see what happens in S. CA. :o

CDF will be hoppin' this year, Doug, keep it safe bro, I'm sure you know all about firebreaks, and such. If today is any indication of how hot summer will be, it will be a nasty one.

Hey Doug,
I feel your pain, there has been a forest fire going on in the mountains east of Albuquerque for weeks now. We finally got rain / snow yesterday and all day today, every little bit helps.
