He looks friendly, non poisonous, I'd keep him around. We used to keep black snakes around in the Ozarks just to keep the copperheads away, and to keep the mice out of our cabin.

Yeah once I got a closer look I was thinkful he is around for those reasons.

That's a big one, a breeder. Even though it's non-poisionous, I still shoo them away with a water hose. Poisionous ones meet my shovel.

I Wanted him not to be to scared off, I have had some small copperheads around. They meet my Large propane torch. :twisted:

Sorry guys, any snake is road kill as far as I am concerned. I don't like any snake. Drives my wife nuts but if I find any snake I try to run it down. to many years of nightmares involving snakes have had a detrimental effect on the snakes in my world. I see them and they die.
I don't have mice either. I have 2 cats but only one that hunts. And he only catches birds. Use to have one that caught bats! That was very interesting to find.
Serpents of any kind have been the scourge of the earth since the beginning of time.
Now that I have said all of that, I don't go looking for snakes. I don't hunt them or anything. IF they come into my domain though it is certain death.
They are one of the very few things in this world that I am afraid of. Hights are another one and that is a very different storie.
