I just love Spam, I have to agree with Aunti M, its way more expensive than hamburger. Although I have heard that twinkeys and spam can survive a nucular blast. :lol: Well if we blow up eachother at least the cockroaches have something to eat :roll:

Hey when we were little we used to fight over who could open the spam can with the wind up key. I miss that...

I have some as part of my emergency kit at work - I work for the gubment and we're supposed to keep personal food items in case of lockdown. Still, the stuff is processed beyond the point that it has any redeeming nutritional value.

In case of a real food shortage I have a rifle, a shotgun and a fishing pole. A country boy can survive...

Yesterday morning, not having any bacon, I opened a can of SPAM, chopped and diced some to mix with scrambled eggs. Pretty yummy if ya use enough Louisiana hot sauce! :phew:

Not a chance. Theoretically I'm subject to recall but retired Supply Corps Commanders are not exactly in demand for the current effort. And hey, if they were, I'd gladly go! I used to say bust me back to Lieutenant and put me back in the SeaBees and I'd go in a heartbeat but my screwed up back won't allow me to meet the physical requirements.
