Why is Hilary Clinton in Puerto Rico?

Postby Micro469 » Sun Jun 01, 2008 7:21 pm

After reading the first two paragraghs, I wonder why she is there. I have to confess I don't understand American Politics, But if they can't vote in a presidential election and no voting representation in either house of congress.... Why iws she there??

Sorry, I know we don't discuss politics, but they are your politics, not mine... I'm just trying to understand.

...because there are actually more Puerto Ricans residing in New York(where Hillary is a Senator) than there are in Puerto Rico...and they're all related...and they do vote for delegates to the convention...right now, it's all about moral victories for Hill since that is she can win at present.......

p.s we are pretty sure we don't understand it so anybody else shouldn't even try!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
...I have come to believe that, conflict resolution, through violence, is never acceptable.....................mj

They are trying to become the 51st state. That movement has been around for 30 years and is again picking up steam.

I think Bill set up the trip for her. The news now says he is back to his old tricks and it's easier if his wife isn't nearby

I better rephrase that, it was under serious consideration in Congress nearly 70 years ago but was shelved on or about Dec. 7th 1941. I'm not really sure what year the movement began.

Well, sort of. My family lived in PR for three years, and there are three groups there. One wants statehood, another wants independence, and the third likes the current arrangement.

For Hillary, she is desperate to get the nomination. She is hawking for votes anywhere she can get them.
